Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 3: Mutant Nightmare once again replicates the dazzling action of the ever-popular cartoon show, bringing its charismatic characters to life in the form of a witty and inventive videogame for PS2 and Xbox. Over 60 missions await the infamous gang in a giant new Story Mode, plus a host of additional game modes designed to test their fighting skills to the max.
The familiar faces of news reporter April and rodent sensei Splinter have returned. Special power-ups can be unleashed in the form of mysterious Ninja Scrolls, which when equipped offer special powers like the Ultimate Turtle. The all new Ougi Attacks are super-powered moves which cause big damage from one turtle, but can also combine with the other turtles for even more devastation. In addition, the turtles' combat repertoire can be enhanced using special crystals.
No doubt the turtles' arch-enemy Shredder is behind the latest troubles, but it's a new breed of foe they must contend with first: the Triceratons. This foul-tempered race of dinosaur-like giants is planning to invade earth, starting with New York. Up to four players simultaneously can choose to fight the Triceratons in the Story Mode or in any other of the game's unlock-able extra modes that include Time Attack, Score Attack, and Free Battle.
Another cool bonus is Arcade Mode a pixel-perfect conversion of the classic 'Turtles in Time' arcade machine.
