SpongeBob returns for another weird, wonderful and surprising bout of surreal, often hilarious platforming. It starts with your favourite sea sponge trying to get his jollies with a night out at Glove World, but everything goes sideways when he meets the strange mermaid Madame Cassandra who, without really thinking about it, sells him a bottle of bubble mix that can grant wishes. Soon, SpongeBob has blown bubbles for all his besties, and with each pop they tear the universe asunder and scatter his pals to new worlds that mash familiar locations from the TV show and remake them with new themes. Armed with a magic bubble wand, it's up to SpongeBob and his best friend Patrick to restore order to Bikini Bottom. The formula takes a leaf from 3D platforming classics of the GameCube/Xbox/PS2 era. Players can master moves such as the Karate Kick and the Fishhook Swing and pick up upwards of 30 F.U.N.tastic costumes like SpongeGar and Snailbob. The star of the show, though, is... well, the show. The voice cast are present and accounted for, a raft of songs have been pulled from various episodes to make up the soundtrack and, most importantly, SpongeBob Squarepants' strange, riotous, left field sense of humour is centre-stage.
