Is there anything more metal than saving the world with an energy-spewing guitar? Probably not. Metal Tales: Overkill is a twin stick shooter with roguelike elements developed by the team over at Zerouno Games. Taking charge of one of four guitar-wielding metal heroes, it's up to you to liberate the guitar gods, and with them the metalheads, from the evil god Kuk. You'll have to rock your way through six gigs, using your guitar as a literal weapon to shoot all manner of metal monstrosity. The action is metal-fueled, top-down, twin stick shoot-fest, with tons of pick-ups to amp things up. Each level is procedurally generated, so no two run-throughs are ever the same, though currency that enables you to buy persistent upgrades offers a bit of permanence. If you want to jam with friends there's an option for that, too, with split screen co-op!
