Demon Chaos PS2

The year is 1543, and Japan is in the thrall of a vicious civil war. Suddenly, a troop of hideous demons emerge from the depths of Lake Suwa and continue to emerge as they march across the country. Watching from above, the Gods realise they must act to prevent mankind being usurped by the demon army. As such, they send an emissary to unite the feuding Lords against the monstrous enemy and lead by example; engaging the demon hordes in hand-to-hand combat. What follows is an epic fight against wave after wave of monsters, as the player mixes strategic elements with combat gameplay to repel Demon Chaos' massive demon armies.

Demon Chaos provides a stunning close-up of the running battles, as the player and the War Lords enter battlefields populates by thousands of terrifying monsters. More than 60,000 creatures are visible on screen at one time, as the player explores the 3D realm with armies in tow and looking for items to enhance their powers. Uniquely, the player's character is actually immortal, but those he seeks to unite are not and if the demons slay all the humans then they will have won. As such, in addition to fighting on the front line, the player must also look to protect those fighting alongside him, adding a clever symmetry to the all-action gameplay.
