Alone In The Dark PS5

Alone In The Dark PS5

A lo-o-o-o-o-o-o-ng time ago, the first Alone in the Dark game drew players into a world where fear was used as a weapon, creating a tense and ominous atmosphere. Now THQ Nordic, with the help of developer Pieces Interactive, hopes to repeat the experience in this love letter to the 1992 original and the 2008 remake. Edward Carnby, the protagonist of the original game, has returned alongside Emily Hartwood. It's the deep rural American South of the 1920s and Emily's uncle has gone missing. Bringing PI Edward Carnby with her, she journeys to Derceto Manor, a home for the mentally ill, where an unknown evil is lurking among the house's strange residents. Players will take on the role of either Edward or Emily to traverse the border between mystery, reality and insanity, encountering uncanny realms and diabolical monsters as they fight against a growing evil. Pieces Interactive has worked hard to make everything in the game work as it would in real life. If you think you could pick something up to bash a creature until gooey stuff comes out of it, you can in the game. If you think you could douse something in petrol and set it on fire in life, you can do it in the game. You'll put these aspects in the game to use not just during combat, but also in puzzle situations where you're left with just enough tools at your disposal to get the job done. Alone in the Dark is drenched in atmosphere and psychological horror. It's a chilling return to the creepy survival games of the 00s, so watch your back...
