Vampire: The Masquerade - Swansong Xbox One

With the indefinite delay of Vampire: The Masquerade: Bloodlines 2 was put on in 2021 it's been a lean time for fans of the franchise, but Swansong offers fans a slightly different spin on the tabletop RPG source material. The game sits somewhere at the intersection of old school CRPGs and detective games, having players take on the roles of three different vampires investigating an event that has rocked the undead world of Boston. Hazel Iversen, aka the Swan, is the newly-anointed Prince of the Boston Camarilla. It's up to her to uphold The Masquerade, a law designed to keep vampires unknown to the humans they walk among - and prey upon. But Boston is rapidly spinning out of control and the Masquerade is beginning to unravel. Use your three characters, with their intertwined destinies, to investigate. They each have their own character sheet, giving them abilities both mundane and supernatural with which to unpick the mysteries rife in the Boston underworld. The game's world is dense and knotty, thick with lore from the cult role-playing world of Vampire: The Masquerade, and it does little to hold your hand as you explore and investigate.
